Dear Church Family,
As you are all aware, there are many who have illnesses and viruses that have been very prolific. If you, or any of your family, have been sick the past week or have signs of possible illness (fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches and fatigue (tiredness)), please stay home and get rest. You may listen to sermons by clicking here.
Children with any signs of illness (even clear runny noses) will not be allowed to attend classes and should remain at home.
Our CCP staff and Elders have been reading, listening, and seeking counsel as to what level of response is appropriate for our church body. Fortunately, the answer is the same common sense that applies to all flus & colds:
1) Avoid contact with people who are sick.
2) Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
3) Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
4) Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
5) Stay home when you are sick or suspect you may be getting sick, expect to get medical care.
6) Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
With that said . . .
The Elders want to be prudent and cautious regarding the current viruses that are going around and have prayerfully decided to POSTPONE all church gatherings for the next ten (10) days through Sunday, March 22nd. We will continue to monitor and pray regarding these illnesses and send out an update after the 22nd.
This postponement is for ALL church gatherings, Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, All Home Fellowships, and Bible studies through March the 22nd.
Our concern is for the well-being of the church as a whole and again want to be cautiously proactive.
We believe this need for added caution will be short-lived. Everything we have read indicates warmer weather, and the amazing natural processes God has built into our bodies to develop immunities, will soon do their job. Until then a little common sense and a lot of calm is just what the doctor ordered.
2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
