Music was created to Glorify God, therefore , it should be good music!  Our worship time is a spirit led, passionate, intimate expression of our hearts toward the Lord.  People try to limit God in many ways and music is one of them.  We desire to give total control to God during our worship service.  If "God inhabits the praises of His people" then we want to be a people who praise Him.

The worship ministry at Calvary Chapel Poulsbo seeks to glorify God through our praises both instrumentally and vocally.  Our music styles range from hymns to rock, country to techno and acoustic to electrified.  Dynamic and expressive, our worship can range from quiet and tearful to explosive and joyful.  Regardless of style we simply desire to pour out our hearts and lives before the Lord and glorify Him.

A typical worship service at Calvary Chapel Poulsbo includes approximately 45 minutes of singing, praising, clapping and prayer.  The worship band includes electric guitar, drums, bass guitar, violin, trumpet, keyboard and several vocalists.  When it comes to the worship team members, heart is more important than skill, but both is preferable.

The Women's Ministry of Calvary Chapel Poulsbo seek to bring the message of Jesus Christ to  all women and to provide opportunities for them to experience God's grace through His Word, God's power  through His Spirit, and God's call through serving others. We are to reach out to the community in which we live and we are  to minister to the Church, the body of Christ.

Our Jr. and Sr. High youth ministy provides an indepth study of God's Word, worship and fellowship time in an atmosphere where teens can feel comfortable.  We also provide many activities throughout the year including retreats and outreach opportunities.  Our youth ministry is split into two groups;  The Jr. High group, Transformed, is led by Dustin Carol for 6th-8th graders and meets Sundays at 10:30am and Wednesday nights at 6:30pm.   The Sr. High group, Consumed, is led by Pastor Rob Sorter for 9th -12th graders and meets Wednesday nights at 6:30pm.  Currently the Jr and Sr high are meeting together on Wednesday nights!

The Children's ministrys at Calvary Chapel Poulsbo is overseen by Larry Howe, CCP Elder.  Children’s Ministry is offered Sunday mornings at the 8:30am and 10:30am services  and on Wednesday 6:30 pm service.  It is for children from nursery through 5th grade. We desire that every child that comes through our doors has the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus the Christ and has the opportunity to accept Him as Savior and Lord.  We desire that every child know that God loves him/her and that they have a personal relationship with Him.  Teachers and helpers are committed to caring for children, teaching and discipling them.  Our goal is to support parents in the training of their children with the Biblical principles God has given us.  Matthew 19:14 “But Jesus said “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”Proverbs 22:6  “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

The Calvary Chapel Children's Ministry is committed to the following goals:

•To provide Jesus Christ's example of Love and acceptance to the children we minister to.

•To create a fun and interesting atmosphere for the children to enjoy.

•To teach age appropriate curriculum that interests and challenges each age group.

•To give children the opportunity to accept Jesus the Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

•To encourage children to share Christ with their family, friends, and others.

•To equip and train older children in being Christ’s disciples.

•To train and equip our volunteers to be able to carry out the goals of this ministry.

Galatians 6:2 tells us to " Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ ".  This is not only a responsibility, but a privilege!

Partners in Prayer is a group of prayer warriors who have committed to praying for the needs of the body, as well as those of our friends and family members.  Nothing is too big for God to handle, or too insignificant to give to God in prayer.  Whether you need prayer about becoming an EMT or you are being attended by an EMT, we want to cover you in prayer.  If you want your prayer request to be sent out anonymously, we can do that as well.  Just be sure to make that clear in your email or phone call.

Our vision is to be able to cover the entire Calvary Chapel Poulsbo body in prayer at all times, and to extend that coverage to Kitsap County and beyond.  Prayer is an outreach that is appreciated even by those who don't have a relationship with Jesus, particularly when faced with heartache or catastrophe.

So if you are reading this and you have a prayer need, don't keep it to yourself!  We would love to lift your needs before the Lord.  Please email us or call if you have an urgent need.  Additionally, we are always looking for men and women of God who would love to join us in prayer.  If you are a part of the body of Calvary Chapel Poulsbo and you love to pray, would you consider becoming a part of our ministry?  All you need to do to get started is send us a short email asking to be added to the prayer chain and you will begin receiving emails.
