Meet Our Staff
Senior Pastor / Worship Leader
Pastor Joel came to Poulsbo in 2004 after spending the previous 12 years on the mission field in St. Petersburg Russia. While in Russia, Joel served as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg and was involved in planting many churches from Moscow to Novosibirsk, Siberia.
During his time in Russia, Joel sang and played guitar for a Christian Alternative Rock band known as "Tribe 13". This band traveled with the church planting teams and was used for outreach throughout St. Petersburg. Along with music and evangelism, Joel also has a heart for discipleship and teaching the Word of God. He considers himself to be on an ever-progressing quest to know God and to love Him more. Simply stated Pastor Joel has a passion for God. This passion has fostered a fellowship of believers that love God, and desire to make the love of Christ known throughout the community of Poulsbo and beyond.
Joel and his wife Heather have five biological children; Addison, Isaiah, and Lilly, Ivy and Hazel as well as two children adopted from Russia; Sergey and Ira. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, horseback riding, camping and riding dirt bikes.

As Sunday Servants they come ready to serve the body, and allow the Holy Spirit to minister through them to do what He wills. Bob gives all glory to God and to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
